What we are, plainly

Colorado Roofing Pros is a referral service. When you call us, we connect you with an independent local roofing contractor who covers your area and can pull a permit in your jurisdiction. We do not climb on roofs, we do not install shingles, and we do not employ roofing crews.

We are stating that first because the distinction matters and because a lot of websites in this industry blur it. The contractors we refer you to are separate businesses. They carry their own licensing, their own insurance, and their own warranties. Any work agreement you enter into is between you and that contractor, not with us.

Our service is free to you. We are compensated by the contractors in our network, which is the standard arrangement for referral services in this industry and which we would rather state openly than bury in a footer.

Why a referral service is useful in Colorado specifically

Colorado has an unusual roofing market, and two features of it create genuine problems for property owners.

The first is the licensing structure. There is no statewide roofing licence in Colorado. Roofing contractors are licensed and permitted at the city or county level, and the state contains a great many separate jurisdictions with different requirements. Denver runs its own contractor licensing. El Paso County operates through the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department. Highlands Ranch is unincorporated and permits through Douglas County. Working out whether a given contractor can legally work at your address is harder than it should be.

The second is what happens after a major hailstorm. Colorado's Front Range sits in the heart of Hail Alley, and the state typically sees three or four catastrophic hailstorms a year. Each one draws out-of-state operators who work fast, cut corners and leave. Separating them from established local contractors while you are dealing with a damaged roof is not a fair fight.

What we do is narrow the field. We match you by jurisdiction to contractors already working where you live. That is a smaller service than some referral sites claim to offer, and it is an honest description of it.

What we do not claim

We do not publish review scores, star ratings or customer counts for our brand, because any ratings that exist belong to the individual contractors who earned them, not to us. Presenting a provider's reputation as our own would be misleading.

We do not claim years of roofing experience. The contractors in our network have their own track records, and where a specific contractor holds a specific credential — a manufacturer certification, a local licence, a professional membership — that credential belongs to them and should be verified with them directly. We encourage you to ask.

We do not guarantee outcomes we do not control. No referral service, and no contractor, can guarantee that your insurance claim will be approved. Anyone telling you otherwise is overselling.

What we will tell you is what we actually know: which contractors cover your jurisdiction, what the realistic response timeframe looks like in your area, and what your rights are under Colorado law. The last of those is covered in our Colorado roof insurance claim guide.

How the process works

It is deliberately simple. You call, we ask where the property is and what the problem looks like, and we connect you with a contractor who covers that jurisdiction. The contractor arranges the inspection directly with you.

For storm damage, most contractors in our network provide the inspection free, and they will give you a written assessment with photographs. If an insurance claim follows, a good contractor will attend the adjuster inspection with you — damage gets identified and agreed on the roof rather than disputed afterwards.

From there the relationship is between you and the contractor. We are happy to hear how it went, and that feedback shapes who we keep referring to. If a contractor in our network handles your job badly, we want to know.

Where we are

Our office is at 4674 S Broadway, Englewood, CO 80110, in the South Broadway corridor just south of Denver. That is a real address rather than a virtual one, and Englewood is genuinely where we are based.

Our referral coverage extends well beyond the metro, though. We work across fifty Colorado cities spanning the Denver metro, northern Colorado, southern Colorado and the Western Slope and mountains. Contractor density varies considerably across that footprint, and we say so rather than implying uniform same-day coverage statewide.

If you want to understand what we actually do before calling, the best starting point is our main Colorado roofing page, which covers the services we connect people with and how the referral process works.

About our service — common questions

Does it cost anything to use Colorado Roofing Pros?

No. The referral service is free to you. We are compensated by the contractors in our network, which is the standard arrangement in this industry. You pay the contractor for the roofing work itself, under an agreement directly between you and them.

Do you do the roofing work yourselves?

No. We are a referral service, not a roofing contractor. The work is performed by independent local roofing companies who carry their own licensing, insurance and warranties. Your contract for the work is with that contractor, not with us.

How do you choose which contractors to refer?

We match primarily by jurisdiction — a contractor has to be able to work and pull permits where your property actually sits, which matters in Colorado because there is no statewide roofing licence. Beyond that we take account of feedback from previous referrals. We encourage you to verify a contractor's licensing and insurance directly with them regardless.

Can you guarantee my insurance claim will be approved?

No, and nobody honestly can. Claim decisions rest with your insurer. What a good contractor can do is document the damage thoroughly, attend the adjuster inspection with you, and raise items that have been missed. Any company guaranteeing approval is overselling.
